VISION - a meditation on the manifestation of Love.

At the monastery of the Community of St. John (in Marchegg, Austria) one night, watching the cross above my bed, I felt inspired to do a photographic reflection on Jesus on the cross. The music of Jan Garbarek in combination with the photos hopefully transmits some of my inner feelings...

Meditation upon the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. Could you immagine that he died even for you out of love? That he would give his life for you? Freely... without conditions...What kind of an example is he, that he even loves his enemies? And what about us? Where can we love more?... Beginning with ourselves...our family... our neighbours, our colleagues...

How does it feel, when we realize, that God loves us, no matter how small or great we are infront of the eyes of others? And how much do we want to be examples of his unconditional love for our neighbours?

What if we fall? ... Certainly we will.... So, what if we fall?... Well, we get back up. And what if we fall again?... We will get back up again. And...fall again..and get up again. Until one day we will remain standing...without falling anymore.

Isn´t that the day, we all hope for?...Some day in the future?...Actually, it starts today. Now... with our little action... I do believe: nothing is in vain.... :)

The photos where taken at the monastery of the Community of Saint John, Marchegg. One of my favorite places to do a retreat in Austria.

I love to receive your feedback.
The video and single photos can be ordered.
